Course summary:
A dynamic course tailored for anyone who wants to learn the transformative power of AI in the business world, whether they are business professionals, organizational leaders, strategists, consultants or technical enthusiasts. Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the business world, creating new opportunities, challenges and competitive advantages. To succeed in the AI era, enterprises need to understand and leverage the power and potential of AI. This course, developed by Daugherty Business Systems in partnership with ICAgile, provides a comprehensive introduction to AI in the enterprise, covering its technical, strategic and ethical aspects. It is designed for business professionals and organizational leaders who want to learn how to implement and innovate with AI in their organizations.
 
Course experience:
The course consists of a series of sessions totaling 25 hours of immersive learning. Each session covers a specific topic related to AI in the enterprise, with a balance of theory and practice. 100% attendance in each session is required. If one session is missed, learner can make up session in a future offering to achieve 100% attendance. Missing two sessions would require a new registration in the future.
 

By completing this course, participants will gain a solid understanding of AI in the enterprise, its technical foundations, its strategic implications and its ethical challenges. They will also acquire practical skills for implementing and innovating with AI, such as prompt engineering, neural network development and AI project management. Participants will also earn the first in the industry certification, Foundations of AI for the Enterprise, accredited by ICAgile.

Learning outcomes:

At the end of this course, the learner will be able to:

  • Describe what AI is and what AI isn't as well as common uses for AI.
  • Identify the basic concepts of AI and its growing influence in various industries.
  • Describe the key points in the evolution of AI.
  • Compare and contrast the available AI components and concepts and describe when and how to use each of them.
  • Explain the current capabilities of AI and discuss the common misconceptions of AI in the enterprise.
  • Design the ethical considerations for the use of AI in your organization.
  • Define the moral principles that guide the use of AI.
  • Discuss the ethical dilemmas and considerations of the use of AI in organizations.
  • Apply two or more approaches to mitigate the impact of bias in AI solutions for a case study or real world scenario.
  • Assess the impact of Agile practices on AI solution implementation for a case study or real-world scenario.
  • Discuss how the agile mindset is applied in the use of AI.
  • Explain the importance of agile behaviors and their impact on the use of AI.
  • Identify the skills and/or roles needed for a cross-functional AI team.
  • Practice crafting effective prompts using relevant context and the syntax required in two or more AI solutions.
  • Explain the qualities of a well-crafted prompt.
  • Apply two or more techniques for prompt engineering and revision to produce accurate results.
  • Compare and contrast the results of prompts with and without context.
  • Identify the syntax needed for effective prompt engineering for two or more AI solutions.
  • Define an AI initiative that is appropriate for your organization and explain your rationale.
  • "Explain how AI drives business growth and keeps organizations competitive.
  • Analyze a case study or real-world scenario to make recommendations for AI initiatives that support the strategic objectives.
  • For a case study or real-world scenario evaluate an organization's AI maturity level and make recommendations for AI initiatives that are appropriate for that maturity level.
  • Identify the key differences between traditional and AI initiatives.
  • Describe two or more AI initiatives and the AI solutions used by those initiatives to create business value.

CANCELLATION POLICY

A full refund will be given when a registrant cancels more than five (5) business days prior to the start of the class. Cancellations received within 5 business days of the start of the class and no-shows will be billed in full. Another person may be substituted at any time at no additional charge.

A request to transfer a class to a future date can only occur if the request is more than 5 business days prior to the start of class.  Otherwise, the request will be considered a cancellation and the policy will apply.
