In this two-day course, you'll gain a deep understanding of Scrum principles and practices, as well as the role of the ScrumMaster in leading and facilitating Scrum teams. You'll also learn how to effectively apply Agile project management techniques and foster collaboration between cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes. With your Certified ScrumMaster designation, you'll be equipped to contribute to the adoption and implementation of Scrum methodology in your organization.

Learning outcomes:

  • Identify the five values of Scrum and the eight essential Scrum principles
  • Understand Scrum’s relationship to the Agile manifesto and business agility
  • Explain each piece of the Scrum framework, its purpose and its interaction with the other pieces of the framework
  • Illustrate the three roles and their responsibilities in a Scrum team, and how they interact with each other to deliver the product increment within a sprint
  • Facilitate Scrum meetings effectively, such as daily Scrum (stand-up), sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives
  • Complete the accompanying test to achieve Certified ScrumMaster designation

Notes:

  • This course satisfies two elements of the Scrum Alliance CSD: Certified Scrum Developer track – Scrum Introduction and Elective.
  • After completing the course, you can take the 50-question Certified ScrumMaster test. To pass, you must answer 37 of the 50 questions correctly within the 60-minute time limit.
  • After passing the CSM test, you will be asked to accept the CSM License Agreement and complete your Scrum Alliance membership profile.
