Many organizations recognize the importance of data in their daily operations but many do not yet value or manage those data as a business asset.  Infonomics is an emerging field of study concerned with applying economic and asset management principles to data and information.  The ability to quantify and measure value of this unique asset has the potential to impact a broad range of business processes from acquiring and distributing data to the overall business strategy and related decisions.
