Generative AI: The New Gold Rush

Generative AI has gone from board room conversation to every dinner table conversation – so much so that we even question whether it’s artificial anymore. In this talk, Dr. Anju Gupta (Northwestern Mutual) and Chris Ellis (Amazon) will share their perspective on what it takes to have a successful implementation of revenue generating artificial intelligence models within an enterprise at scale. They will also share their views and expertise on large language models, vector databases, context tokens and the prescription you need to have in place for a full implementation of Generative AI stack.

Vice President of Data Sciences and Analytics for Northwestern Mutual
Anju is the Vice President of Data Sciences and Analytics for Northwestern Mutual. She joined the company in October 2019 and has been instrumental in shaping all of Northwestern Mutual’s Artificial Intelligence initiatives. Anju has been actively developing, enabling and driving the business activation of AI and machine learning products across all of Northwestern Mutual, along with building an ethical framework for implementing data science products. She is also a member of the Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute executive steering team, which is a partnership that contributes to the formation of a technology ecosystem and advances southeastern Wisconsin as a national hub for technology. Gupta has also earned several awards, including the YWCA Women Leader award in 2014 and the CIO 100 Innovation Award in 2018. Currently, Gupta holds 17 granted and published patents and has a PhD in genetics and statistics. She is a frequently sought after speaker for AI and Generative AI.

Chris is a Senior Analytics Specialist with Amazon Web Services (AWS). At AWS, he works with large enterprises to help solve their most significant challenges through the use of analytics, machine learning, and generative AI. He was also responsible for building the AWS point of view around helping customers implement data governance in the cloud. Today he spends much of his time supporting customers in experimenting and building generative AI into their applications.
